Lupe Fiasco says he would “Destroy” all rappers in a rap battle, Targets Eminem.
Eminem‘s “Kamikaze” album was released last week, and the rapper dissed a number of rappers on tracks including “Fall” and “Not Alike.” Shady’s peers have weighed in on the project. Lupe Fiasco has weighed in on Em’s current spat with Joe Budden in an Instagram post that has since been deleted, claiming that he could beat both rappers in a fight. Now, Lupe Fiasco shared a video of a comedian mimicking Eminem which got a lot of hate. Later he clarified in a since-deleted post that he has posted the video because he’s seen rappers who legitimately rap like that and he has love for Eminem but he would destroy him in a Rap Battle.
He said, “I posted up that video of the comedian mimicking Eminem rap style because I thought it was funny and actually rap like that when they are writing to catch a flow and get a melody. I like Em & most other rappers & I want no smoke but if I did I would destroy them all. Especially Joe Budden & Em too.”
Fiasco isn’t the only rapper who thinks he can beat Eminem. Following Shady’s bashing of Budden on his latest album, the MC-turned-podcast-star retaliated by claiming that he has been better than the Detroit rhymer for the past decade.
Recently, in the song “Steve Jobs,” Lupe Fiasco shouts out Eminem while dissing Royce. Lupe claims that Royce imitated Eminem’s rapping technique. In Royce’s lyrics, he finds “affection” and “intimacy of impressions” from Eminem’s pen, according to him. Fiasco continues by saying that he can’t blame Royce because Eminem is one of his favourite artists as well.
The co-host of the Lupe & Royce podcast, Lupe Fiasco, has asked Royce to tone it down and quit taking on Slim Shady’s conflicts. Royce was questioned about his most recent e-battle with Benzino during yet another Clubhouse talk, and the head of Food & Liquor gave him some advice.
Royce laughed and continued, “You have no idea what I’ve been going through these past few days,” You do this sh-t to yourself, Royce. I told you not to frolic with these muthaf–kas! You down there with random n—as talking sh-t about sh-t, Eminem getting you in trouble. You gotta play the back sometimes.”
