Ludacris receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Ludacris adds another special milestone to his career as the rapper/actor receives a star at the Hollywood Walk Fame. This was the 2,756th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was given to Luda on Thursday, May 18 at 6426 Hollywood Boulevard.
“Ludacris has been a pop culture staple for many years,” stated Ana Martinez, Producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “As both a rapper and actor, he has created some of our favorite music and film moments and we’re thrilled to welcome him to our historic landmark.”

At the ceremony, the rapper was joined by his family, LL Cool J, Vin Diesel, Queen Latifah, actresses Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
“No matter what people say I can’t do, I will continue to shatter those stereotypes and show people it’s possible in order to make everyone who got me here proud,” said Luda. “Because you all inspire my hard work and dedication to receive this star today. I’m motivated by legacy and history.”

He continued: “This means that I’ve made my mark, my own personal history being documented. To be amongst these names is just amazing to me. I’m just so thankful. So, getting a star is a statement, but be clear about this statement, the even bigger statement to me is that we are all interconnected.
“And I am a culmination of the people who showed up for me today believing in me and pushing me to inspire me. So y’all be clapping for me all day I’m gonna need y’all to give yourselves a round of applause. Because I’m nothing without you.”
In a new interview with Variety, the rapper also talked about never imagining receiving the honour when he started his career. “Not because a star was not possible. I don’t think that I could have seen that far down the line,” he said. “When it came to music, I had blinders on at that time because I knew that I had so much to prove. Now, I have much to prove in film and music — the two most sought- after dreams in the world, rock star and movie star. I’m loving it.”
At the Ceremony, Luda’s daughter Karma also surprised the rapper, as initially she wasn’t going to appear at the event. “After receiving your text on Thursday, asking if I could make it to L.A. for your Hollywood star — it took everything in me to come up with an excuse of why I couldn’t make it here today,” Karma told her father. “The truth is, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” “I am so proud of you, Dad. Congratulations to a legend of an artist and a legend of a father,” she added.
