Lil Wayne, Future & Drake’s “Love Me” is now Certified Diamond.
Lil Wayne earned the second RIAA Diamond of his career, and his song “Love Me” sold 10 million units in the United States. The song is a collaboration with Future and Drake and was released in 2013 as part of his “I Am Not A Human Being II” album.
The song peaked at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 and became Wayne’s 18th top ten hit at the time. The artwork of the single was designed by Kanye West. “[Kanye] said, you know, man, let me do your cover,” revealed Wayne. “I saw the cover and I approved it…He had an explanation behind it – he said, he chose the moth butterfly thing because it has so many different stages of life, and it goes through so many forms and changes, and no one can figure it out, and it’s always beautiful.”
This is Wayne’s second Diamond record, following up on his 2008 hit “Lollipop”, which reached the status in 2022. This is also Future’s second RIAA Diamond, following up on “Life is Good.” This is Drizzy’s record seventh Diamond certification, and he’s become the fourth artist in history with 7 RIAA Diamonds after Post Malone, Rihanna and The Weeknd.
