Eminem & Lil Wayne talks googling their lyrics.
Eminem recently appeared on Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio for an interview where they talk about a lot of things including Googling their own lyrics. The whole thing happened when the two rap greats were talking about the songwriting process for their tracks. Lil Wayne revealed that he always check out his own lyrics on the internet in case he’s not repeating himself, to which Eminem responded and said that he does that too. Check out their conversation below.
Eminem: You’ve got you to start getting to the point where you’ve rapped about everything you’ve rhymed every word that rhymes.
Lil Wayne: Man I literally broke when I’m doing something my sh*t. If you go through my phone history, my Google history, and you press “l”, first thing gonna come up is “Lil Wayne lyrics”. I literally have to Google my lyrics to make sure I didn’t say something before.
Eminem: Oh my God. Yo, I swear to God, I do that too…
Lil Wayne: Man, that’s how we’ve been doing this sh*t.
Eminem: Yeah, I just did that shit last night.
Lil Wayne: That’s I just told you, I say soon as you go to my Google history, my Safari, is gonna be “Lil Wayne lyrics”.
Eminem: Man, It’s funny as hell, cause I’ve been doing that for like the past five years. You are like, “I took actually this phrase and…”.
Lil Wayne: …Like “I wonder if this sh*t sounded so perfect”.
Eminem on the Michael Jordan Last Dance documentary:
“It’s incredible, there’s so much sh*t that I didn’t even know too. I don’t remember anything in particular as far as aside from the playing, it’s cool to hear the personal stories and all that too. But man, him on the court and how he was able to switch his shot in mid air and just do like … I’ve never seen that before and it just takes you right back to that time.”
