Lil Wayne lists his top 5 emcees.
Drake may have been defeated in the feud battle against Kendrick Lamar, but he’s still in top 5 rappers list of his mentor and longtime collaborator Lil Wayne. In a new interview, Wayne was asked about his top rappers of all time, in which he named Drake as one of the picks.
“My Top 5 rappers of all time are JAY-Z, Missy Elliott, Eminem, ummm… The Notorious B.I.G… oh, and this is no specific order right here — and Drizzy,” he said.

Weezy was asked about his top 5 last year, where he had UGK & Goodie Mob, but now he picked Eminem and Drake instead. “There’s no specific order, but it’s simple. For me, it’s always been Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, UGK, Goodie Mob and Biggie,” he said at the time. “It’s because I organically grew up on [them],” he added. “You know, when you’re asked, “How’d you start listening?,” there’s a story for everybody … like, someone I know told me to start listening or whatever. But like I said, every decision I make is organic.”
“As a kid before Jay — this before I even knew a Jay-Z existed, I was into Missy Elliot,” he said previously. “Yeah and you know it was because you were able to [sic] you would say things that I would want to say as I’m rapping. You not only made me like — You made me love it.”
