Reginae Carter raps Lil Wayne’s “La La”.
Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter made an appearance at the 2022 Soul Train Awards, where she conversation with HipHopDx’s Jeremy Hecht. On the red carpet, the oldest of Weezy’s kids was asked to rap her favourite bars of her legendary father.
Reginae then showed off her rap skills as she performed Lil Wayne’s song “La La”, the David Banner-produced track that appeared on the 2008 album “Tha Carter III”.
“My daughter be the twinkle of my eye / You hurt her, you kill me, I ain’t ’bout to die,” she raps. “See y’all are at ground, and my daughter is my sky / I swear, I look in her face and I just want to break out and fly / Four tears in my face, and you ain’t never heard me cry / I’m richer than all y’all, I got a bank full of pride.”
Weezy has undoubtedly been receiving bouquets lately from both his relatives and friends. Missy Elliott startled the New Orleans superstar earlier this month when he showed up to the presentation of her wax statue at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas. Missy Elliott gave him affection in return and credited him for “birthing a new generation” of rappers after him.

Some of his biggest songs from his career are included on the album, including as “6 Foot 7 Foot” and the 7x platinum-certified “Love Me” with Drake and Future.
