Lil Uzi Vert announces “Barter 16” on Young Thug’s birthday.
Lil Uzi Vert previously teased the project titled “Barter 16“, and now he officially announced the project. “Sitting here thinking /bout how I went #1 on a experimental tape,” he wrote in July. “My apologies Barter 16 mixtape on the way.”
The announcement comes on the occasion of incarcerated rapper Young Thug’s 32nd birthday. “Happy birthday @thuggerthugger1 Barter 16, soon, Love You,” wrote Uzi on his social media with the official artwork.

The project will follow up his latest new album “Pink Tape“, which charts at the top of Billboard 200 with 167,000 equivalent units in the US in the week ending July 6, which earned him his third top spot. At the time, It was the biggest sales week for R&B/hip-hop albums this year, and it also became the first rap album to be debuted at #1 on US Billboard 200 in 2023. The project had 26 songs, and guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Bring Me The Horizon and more.
Back in 2015, Thugger released his debut commercial mixtape titled “Barter 6” through 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records. The project featured Birdman, Boosie Badazz, Young Dolph, T.I. and more.
