Lil Durk Responds After NBA Youngboy Disses King Von On New Song

NBA Youngboy drops a new song “Bring The Hook”, disses late King Von.

NBA Youngboy is all set to drop his brand new project “Colors” this Friday, and ahead of the release, he unleashed some new material. The Baton Rouge rapper has dropped the new single called “Bring The Hook”. Karltin Bankz, Lastwordbeats, LondnBlue, D-Roc, and Jason Goldberg produced it. The song is trending as it also features shots at the late rapper King Von and his gang O-Block. D-Roc, and Jason Goldberg produced it. The song sparked debate because it contained a dig at the late rapper King Von.

What did YoungBoy say about Oblock? Well NBA took this beef to another level by rapping, “Ni**a, this that Squid Game, O-Block pack get rolled up, Murder what they told us, Atlanta boy get fold up,” he raps, referencing King Von’s murder in Atlanta. The rapper was killed by an affiliate of Quando Rondo, who is signed to Never Broke Again.

King Von’s good friend Lil Durk took to his IG to subliminally responds to Youngboy’s new lyrics. “Don’t claim it if you don’t do it, you still a b***h,” Durk wrote with a picture of King Von. Lil Reese and NLE Choppa also respond to the song on DJ Akademiks post.

Rapper Lil Durk shared a photo of himself sitting next to a King Von poster on Instagram after the song became viral on social media with the message “Don’t claim it if you ain’t do it you still a b**ch.” YoungBoy was “simply rapping like the rest of these rappers all rap,” said rapper Lil Reese in reference to the song. Rapper NLE Choppa agreed and gave his response. A week later, YoungBoy reacted with the diss single “Know Like I Know” directed towards Choppa.

During an interview with Akademiks the day before his death, King Von stated that he had no serious issues with NBA YoungBoy and that there was no beef. “They be saying that a lot,” he said. “It’s like, we got the same issues and hoes and then you know how the internet will try to make it.”

YoungBoy is the head of the Never Broke Again label, which Quando Rondo is signed to. He had a conflict with King Von prior to Von being murdered and killed outside Monaco Hookah Lounge in downtown Atlanta on Nov. 6, 2020. Quando was present during the shooting and is linked to Timothy “Lul Timm” Leeks, the guy suspected of killing Von. Leeks was arrested and lodged at Atlanta’s Fulton County Jail for Von’s murder, but subsequently freed on $100,000 bond.

This is the latest spat between the rappers. Durk released his YoungBoy diss track “AHHH HA” earlier today. The song is retaliation to rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s “Bring the Hook.” It has “a scary, piano-led beat and threatening lyrics,” with Lil Durk “boasting his street cred and calling out his opposition.” Jerry Productions directed the song video, which features Lil Durk and his Only the Family group. Durk wears a ring honouring D-Thang throughout the video.

NLE Choppa recently disclosed that it was him that advised Lil Durk not to take revenge for King Von’s passing.

Just under three months after releasing the Me Vs. Me mixtape, NLE Choppa has just released a new song named “Sleazy Flow.” Some of the bars, according to fans, were directed towards NBA YoungBoy. The Memphis performer, however, said this was untrue on Twitter.

However, the Memphis performer resorted to Twitter to deny this. “I don’t diss, period,” Choppa wrote plainly on Twitter.

Choppa, who is currently a hip-hop herbalist, continued by saying that he is conscious of people’s reactions to potentially traumatic events. “When I’m thinking something, they might be thinking the same thing ’cause at the end of the day, out of us being Black, White, Hispanic, whatever, we are a human being and we are one race,” the Top Shotta rhymer stated. “This is why I know what’s up with life now. This is why I don’t do nothing out of spite to people.”

It’s the most recent exchange of insults between the former allies, whose animosity reached a breaking point after King Von, Durk’s right-hand man, was tragically shot during an altercation with YoungBoy’s companion Quando Rondo. Former buddies Von and Quando are said to have broken up over Von seeing YoungBoy’s ex. This is the kind of little disagreement that could have been easily resolved. But tragedy struck, and the more these two stoic, heartbroken men use their strength (and their suffering) against one another, the more likely it is that additional violence will break out.

On Twitter, Kayla B shared the concerns of the OTF leader, writing, “On Demon time in the house on house arrest? Get in these streets.”

There were some rumours that NBA Youngboy and Lil Durk’s beef got squashed, as revealed by DJ Akademiks. However, things reignited again as the Top rapper took shots at Durk, India Royale as well as Akademiks. “@lildurk you a bi**h & yo nasty a*s h*e and it’s shown,” YoungBoy wrote on Twitter. “And @Akademiks you a pure Fat h*e who mouth gone be the reason you from now on (“invalid”) #RichestOpp.” In separate tweets, he also targeted Durk’s deceased friends. “@lildurk lol you ever realized you only get a buzz when one of your friends die? Think about it scary bum bi**h you know I ain’t lying ha ha #fact. @indiaroyaltyy tell that pu**y bi**h he bet not drop he ain’t thang ‘pretty lady.’”

Youngboy and Durk were supposed to release their new projects “Richest Opp“ and “Almost Healed” on the same day, but the Chicago rapper pushed it back at the last moment. After winning the release battle, Youngboy trolls Durk in a newly shared clip on social media. “Bi**h-a*s ni**a, you pushed back, you bet not ever try it again,” YB says while dancing to his album. “Play with me,” he added.

In late 2023, Youngboy revealed that beef with Lil Durk is for entertainment and not serious. “OG. I talk to Durk every two, three nights,” YoungBoy says in the clip shared by him. ” He be trying to talk to me about me about me music. He focused on a billion dollars right now. Get them to let me out of the house. I’ll hit that stage for you. How do you want me to come every chain on or just one chain?” In the caption, he wrote: “It ain’t what you think OG all this sh-t entertainment.”
