Kodak Black finally gets to meet former US President Donald Trump.
Last year before leaving the Office, the former US President Donald Trump pardoned some of the artists who was serving jail time, and one of the names was Kodak Black. The Florida rapper was arrested in 2019 over weapons possession and was sentenced to almost four years in federal prison, but his sentence was commuted by Trump in early 2021.
Ever since then the rapper has been heavily active in the music scene, and praised the former President on several occasions. “I would like to see Trump back in office,” he said in a live stream while wearing the MAGA hat. “I wouldn’t give a damn if he let me out of prison anyway. I was still f**kin’ with Trump, but him doing that, it’s like you got all my love and sh*t.”
The rapper finally gets to meet trump at a dinner party at Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, and he was brought by entrepreneur Ray J. The clip from the event shows Black approaching Donald Trump, who asked him “How are you?”, and then the two shared a fist bump and a little conversation. “It was the right thing to do,” Ray J told Page Six in a statement. “Trump pardoned him.”
While jailed and completing a 46-month sentence for falsifying federal documents to obtain weapons, Trump awarded Kodak a commutation in January 2021. Kodak has been a vocal supporter of Trump since then, telling the Full Send Podcast earlier this month that “getting rid of Trump is the worst thing America could’ve done.” He went on to say that he will be “forever grateful” to the former president.
