Kendrick Lamar shares “We Cry Together” short film.
Kendrick Lamar has finally unveiled the official short film visual for his “We Cry Together” song, which is basically a dispute between a couple. The film which was previously Screened Exclusively At Laemmle Theaters in LA, has now been released on Youtube in censored and uncensored versions.
The video, which was shot in one take with actual vocals back in March 2020 and were directed by Jake Schreier, Dave Free, and Kendrick with Adam Newport-Berra acting as cinematographer. This indicates that the performances by Kendrick and Paige in the short video ary from how they appear in the song’s recording. The first video for a Mr. Morale song was for “N95” with Baby Keem, which was released earlier this year along with the whole album.
It is off his latest album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers”, and features assistance from Taylour Paige, who also appeared in the film. Another interpretation of the song is that Taylour represents the state of hip-hop, hating Kendrick for being absent for the last five years.
