Fans notice J. Cole’s vocals in Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert.
It’s been a week since one of the biggest nights in hip-hop, the Pop Out concert by Kendrick Lamar and his affiliates, and now fans have noticed a detail during one of the performances.
A J. Cole fan page of X/twitter noticed that K. Dot used the Dreamville rapper’s voice while performing “Alright”. When Kendrick started performing the hit song, J. Cole’s “Yeah” could be heard before Dot continued his performance. While it could be nothing, there’s always a reason Kendrick does something. “NOTHING Dot does is accidental…everything is always intentional!,” a user wrote. “could be a nod to him that their relationship will be ‘Alright’,” wrote another. “A collab album? I am already there,” says a fan speculating a collab from the two. “Subtle way of saying him and cole still bruddas.”
It could be a sign that both the rappers are on good terms, following beef between Kendrick and Drake. Back in the day, Dot rapper over Cole’s “A Tale of 2 Citiez”, while the latter performed over the “Alright” instrumental.
A couple of months back, Kendrick Lamar took shots at both Drake and J. Cole in his “Like That” verse. The song prompted Cole to snap back with the diss track “7 Minute Drill” before apologizing publicly at the Dreamville festival.
