Kendrick Lamar achieves a huge milestone with TPAB.
Kendrick Lamar’s third studio album “To Pimp A Butterfly” now becomes the highest-certified album of all time. The project is now the #1 on the list of top albums of all time by the most popular fan review website Rate Your Music.
The album has dethroned Radiohead’s 1997 effort “OK Computer” to achieve the huge accolade. TPAB now has an average score of 4.34 out of 5 with 58,322 ratings and 491 reviews, while OK Computer has an average score of 4.26 with 84,518 ratings and 1,635 reviews.

Kendrick Lamar’s project was released in 2015 through Top Dawg Entertainment, Aftermath Entertainment and Interscope Records, with executive production from Dr. Dre and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith. The album featured collaborations with artists such as Snoop Dogg, Rapsody, George Clinton, Bilal, Thundercat, Ronald Isley, James Fauntleroy, and Anna Wise. It also included popular tracks such as “Alright” and “King Kunta.”
The project topped the US Billboard 200 with 324,000 equivalent units in the first week. It also won a Grammy for Best Rap Album and a nomination for Album of the year.
The album received Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and reached sales of one million copies in the United States in 2017.
