Kendrick Lamar & SZA Makes History With Hip-Hop’s Top-Grossing Tour

Kendrick Lamar & SZA’s Tour Becomes the Highest-Grossing in Hip-Hop History.

The duo of Kendrick Lamar and SZA continues reaching new heights as they now holds the record for highest-grossing hip hop tour of all time, with several shows still left. The duo’s ongoing co-headlining “Grand National” tour reportedly earned more than $332.1 million so far. They break the previous record by Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour, which earned 320.5 million from 80 shows.

The tour kicked off back in April in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which became the highest-grossing hip-hop show in history, raking in over $9.124 million. The tour is scheduled to conclude on December 14.

In an GQ interview earlier this month, SZA responded to backlash for including Drake collab “Rich Baby Daddy” on her setlist despite K. Dot and Drizzy’s beef. “Why wouldn’t I? ‘Poetic Justice’ was in the set list, so why wouldn’t I keep ‘Rich Baby Daddy’?” she asks. “I don’t know why I wouldn’t be celebrating some sh*t that I ate up.”

“It was something between two grown-a-s men, so why would I insert myself between something between two grown-a-s men, you know?” she added. “And I feel like that’s how everybody felt—with the exception of people who didn’t feel that way. I didn’t really have any stake, per se. Obviously, I love Kendrick. I’m signed to TDE. That’s my family. Obviously, I’ve known Drake for so long and we have a beautiful rapport. And, obviously, it’s always unfortunate when the unfortunate occurs.”
