Kendrick Lamar unveils the cost of his diamond thorn crown.
Kendrick Lamar has been performing live in various shows, following the release of his latest album “Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers“. But more than the rapper, his diamond thorn crown is making headlines. K. Dot’s crown was first seen in the Artwork of his latest album, and now he’s wearing it during his recent performances.
The crown was made by Tiffany & Co. , and it was recently revealed that it took them 10 months to design, with 8,000 diamonds. “Kendrick Lamar represents the artistry, risk-taking creativity, and relentless innovation that has also defined Tiffany & Co. for nearly two centuries,” said Alexandre Arnault, Executive VP of Product and Communication at Tiffany. “We are proud and incredibly excited to work with a visionary like Kendrick in realizing his vision for the crown.” The crown-making process reportedly requires 1,300 hours of work.

Kendrick Lamar’s crown, which has 50 thorns, was created over the course of ten months using 8,000 cobblestone micro pavé diamonds totalling more than 137 carats. Kendrick addressed the Glastonbury audience on stage, saying, “I wear this [crown] as a representation so you’ll never forget one of the greatest prophets to ever walk the Earth.” We gon’ continue to try our best to walk in his image.”

Now the worth of the crown is also revealed during a conversation at Glastonbury 2022. “Man, I don’t even know, this sh*t ain’t even out yet,” said Kendrick about his outfit at the Glastonbury festival. When asked about the crown, Kendrick stayed quiet but one of his team members revealed that it cost $3 million.
