Kendrick Lamar tops Spotify’s 2025 top songs list.
Kendrick Lamar has been dominating the past two years, ever since his battle with Drake in mid-2024. The rapper released his album “GNX” at the end of last year, and since then achieved several chart and streaming records.
As we head into next year in about a month, top streaming platforms have started to release their year-end lists, featuring top artists and music. Streaming giant Spotify unveiled its top songs of 2025 in the United States. The list is topped by Kendrick Lamar’s hit collab with SZA, “Luther”.
“Luther” topped the US chart and spent 13 consecutive weeks at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, making it K. Dot and SZA’s longest-charting number one song on the chart, as well as the second-longest-running hip-hop song of all time on the Hot 100. They also performed the song at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show on February 9, 2025.
Kendrick also earned a spot in the Top US album of 2025 on Spotify, making him the only rap artist in the top 10. He is named at #5 for his most recent album GNX.
