The album was released in October 2012 and debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 with 242,000 sales in the first week. This week, the album charted at #43 in the US. This is one of 3 records from the Compton native to make the list, the others being this year’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (No. 26) and last year’s Pulitzer Prize-winning DAMN (No. 63).

It also received numerous nominees at the 2014 Grammy Awards, where it was infamously upset by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ The Heist in the Best Rap Album category.
This month, Drake joined Eminem and Kendrick Lamar as the rapper with albums over 500 weeks on Billboard 200 as his 2011 project “Take Care” hit the milestone.
