Kanye West gets his first diamond certification with “Stronger”.
Kanye West officially earns his first-ever diamond certification, as his song called “Stronger” gets the accolade from RIAA. It’s hard to believe, but the GOOD music never had a Diamond before this in his long career of over two decades. The track which now sold over 10 million copies in the US, was the second single from his third studio album “Graduation”, which was released in 2007. The production on the project was handled by Ye himself, along with his longtime collaborator Mike Dean.

“Stronger” topped the Billboard Hot 100, earning Kanye his third number-one single. The song was in the top ten in 10 countries and topped in four of them. The track was also awarded at the 50th Grammy Awards with Best Rap Solo Performance.
The second single from Graduation, “Stronger,” was released in July 2007. The five-minute music incorporates a voice sample from Daft Punk’s “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” which was produced by West with additional work by Mike Dean. It was Ye’s third No. 1 single, and it earned him a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Solo Performance.
Kanye released a flurry of albums in the years since, including My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Life of Pablo, and Ye, which was certified platinum in September accompanying his single “Devil in a New Dress.”
Last month, his songs “Drive Slow,” “On God,” and “Hurricane” were all certified gold. As the number of streams for Ye’s older songs continues to rise, his new album has gotten a lot of attention as well. Before Donda was ever released, the “Heard ‘Em Say” emcee reportedly made an estimated $12 million. The money came from goods and listening parties he held to tease the record titled for his late mother, according to numerous news agencies.
Kanye West’s album “Graduation” featured appearances from T-Pain, Lil Wayne, DJ Premier, Mos Def, Chris Martin, and more. It debuted at #1 on Billboard 200 with moving over 956k copies in the first week. The album was also honored at Grammy Awards, with the trophy of Best Rap Album.
