Kanye West makes his Universal contracts public.
On Wednesday, rapper Kanye West went on a Twitter rant, screaming about his music industry contracts and releasing a video of a man urinating on one of his Grammy awards. The bipolar rapper, who goes by the moniker ‘Heartless,’ revealed papers from ten of his contracts, accusing entertainment organizations of exploiting Black musicians.
Kanye West continues his takeover on Twitter with a flood of tweets as a few days ago he asked for a public apology from J. Cole and Drake. He also said that he won’t release any new music until his Universal Deal expires and today he made his Ten Universal Contracts public. Check out the whole Contracts tweet streak on his twitter here.
West’s recent Twitter rants appear to be intended at the corporations that support the fashion and music industries. He has tweeted Bible texts and decried the absence of Black executives and shareholders. According to him, he won’t drop any new songs until Sony and Universal free him from their obligations. He has also requested that “every lawyer in the world” review those terms. He has stated that Kim Kardashian West, his wife, is his attorney. The master recordings of his music have been claimed as his property.
