The first part of Kanye West’s Netflix Docuseries “jeen-yuhs” is released.
As announced, act 1 of Kanye West’s new Netflix docu-series “jeen-yuhs” is officially released on the platform. The documentary which was announced last year, captures unseen moments of the rapper’s career in the past two decades, including his career in music and fashion; and the death of his mother Donda West.
One of the clips is released on social media, which shows Kanye West struggling to get signed by the labels, and they were giving a dull reaction to his “All Falls Down” record, which went on to become a huge hit in “The College Dropout” album.
It’s wild to think that “All Falls Down” wasn’t always a hit. Even when you see the vision it takes a lot of faith and persistence to prove it to everyone else.#jeenyuhs is now streaming pic.twitter.com/gAo0rQmKkJ

The documentary was planned to culminate in the early 2000s, with West — who is now legally recognised by his former moniker, Ye — earning his first Grammy Award. It was originally conceived as a “Hoop Dreams”-style movie. However, as West went from a geeky Chicago beatmaker for Jay-Z to a divisive, era-defining artist across music, fashion, and more, he drifted away from Coodie, an old neighbourhood buddy, and abandoned the project, leaving hundreds of hours of tape in limbo.
The docu-series is getting praise from fans and fellow artists, as well as good reviews. “This Kanye doc man #JeenYuhs it’s amazing I’m lost for words. You don’t need to be a fan, but you’ll be inspired to get up & live your life. Everything he said since 1998, he done did it man. ALL THIS DRAMA ASIDE, KANYE WEST IS A GENIUS & VISIONARY AND YOU CAN’T DENY THAT,” a fan wrote.
“When Kanye went to Burger King after learning the fact that he was going to get signed after getting turned down by labels. ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ beautifully captures the last few moments Ye could go out in public without being recognized,” said another. “Kanye doc incredible. So inspiring. Trust yourself,” said rapper Russ.
