The beef between Kanye West and Drake comes to an end.
It’s the start of a new era as the long-going feud between Drake and Kanye West is finally over. J. Prince’s son first teased the squashing of their beef, and now we have confirmation from Drizzy and Yeezy himself. The two met at Drake’s mansion in Toronto, the night which also had Dave Chappelle, J. Prince and more. Kanye West posted a picture of himself, standing with J. Prince and Drake at the front door of the Toronto mansion.
The Donda rapper and Drake smiled for the camera in an Instagram Story, flinging their arms around each other like old pals. West also incorporated speech excerpts from comedian Dave Chappelle. “Make some noise for Kanye and Drake. And make some noise for our reconciliation,” Chapelle, 48, declared.
More than three years after their feud began, the Grammy winners looked to have reconciled. The two were formerly friends, even cooperating in the past, but a diss track released in May 2018 put their friendship on hold.
On Monday, the two allegedly had supper at Drake’s mansion. The same night, Drake released a video of him and Ye laughing and smiling backstage at a screening of Dave Chappelle’s Untitled documentary in Toronto. While Drake’s song “Knife Talk” plays in the background, Drake’s arm can be seen around Ye.
The “Certified Lover Boy” rapper also shared a clip of hanging out with the GOOD Music boss. He also shared a video of Dave Chappelle giving a speech at his house. “You have to admit to yourself, this sh*t is impressive,” said Chappelle. “I cannot believe I’m in a ni**a’s house. A ni**a from this city that did not grow up this way. Tonight, he brought some of the biggest stars on earth to his home. Kanye West is in his home.”
J. Prince also shared the images of the meeting at Toronto last night and wrote, “What a beautiful night I had last night in Canada. Let’s make history December 9 Free Larry Hoover Concert.”
Previously, Kanye West linked up with J. Prince and requested Drake to end their beef to help free Larry Hoover. “This is Ye and J. Prince. I’m making this video to address an ongoing back-and-forth between myself and Drake,” said Kanye. “Both me and Drake have taken shots at each other and it’s time to put it to rest. I’m asking Drake on Dec. 7 to join me onstage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year. Live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover. I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause, but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”
