Kanye West requests Apologies to Drake and J. Cole.
Once again, Kanye West is back with a series of tweets that got the internet talking. In now-deleted tweets, First, he says that he will not release new music until his contract with Sony & Universal expires.
Then he went on to demand public apologies from Drake and J. Cole for sneakily taking shots at him in their songs ‘Laugh Now Cry Later‘ and ‘Middle Child‘.
Kanye, posing as Nat Turner and writing about how he is ‘fighting’ for his community, demanded an apology from Drake and J Cole.
As Kanye wrote, he compared himself to the slave revolt’s commander Nat Turner. “I need a publicly apology from J Cole and Drake to start with immediately … I’m Nat Turner … I’m fighting for us.”
He later added: “I’m not industry bro … I don’t care… I’m in service to Christ … we need world healing … I miss my brothers… I refuse to argue with black men on labels we don’t own… even twitter.” “I have the utmost respect for all brothers … we need to link and respect each other… no more dissing each other on labels we don’t own.”
For the uninitiated, Nat was a slave insurrection leader in the 1830s who led his uprising in Southampton County. Kanye opened up about his connection with Jay Z as well. Kanye promised that he will meet Shawn Carter, a.k.a. Jay Z, shortly. He also apologized for misspelling Shawn’s name as ‘Sean’ during the process.
Kanye West resumed his Twitter frenzy by comparing the NBA to modern-day slavery and mentioning Travis Scott’s new agreement with McDonald’s.
Kanye has a history of opining on Twitter, but it’s been roughly a month since he’s done so at the rate he’s done tonight. Last month, Yeezy sent out a slew of random tweets, and before that, he went on another rage, this time targeting his wife, Kim Kardashian, his mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, actor Shia LaBeouf, and others.
He also tweeted about trying to reach out to Jay-Z.
