Kanye West reacts to criticism for wearing “White Lives Matter” shirt.
Just the other day, Kanye West made headlines due to his outfit at Yeezy Fashion show. The Donda rapper, as well as models, were spotted wearing “White Lives Matter” shirts at YZY SZN 9 Fashion Show.
Ye spoke to the audience before the Yeezy Season 9 event started: “Everyone here understands that I am the leader… you can’t handle me. The issue is out of control.”
He continued by making references to his previous manager Scooter Braun, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s 2016 theft in Paris, and his most current dispute with Gap. Although Naomi Campbell modelled for the exhibition, she opted not to wear the contentious T-shirt. A children’s choir that performed at the occasion was directed by the rapper’s daughter, North West.
The Yeezy mogul then received criticism from other celebrities and fans for disrespecting the Black Lives Matter movement.

Ye now again takes to his IG story and seemingly responds to all the backlash and calls “Black Lives Matter” a scam. “Everyone knows that Black Lives Matter was a scam. Now Its over. You’re welcome.”

After the “White Lives Matter” trend, Boosie Badazz was one of the artist who criticized the rapper. “@kanyewest AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL SH*T ON,” Boosie BadAzz tweeted. “U GIVES NO F**KS ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN😞 N U SAY BUSH DONT LIKE BLACK PEOPLE.. REALLY ‘NI**A.'”
“‘Like an unchecked cancer, hate corrodes the personality and eats away its vital unity. Hate destroys a man’s sense of values and his objectivity. It causes him to describe the beautiful as ugly and the ugly as beautiful, and to confuse the true with the false and the false with the true.’ ― Martin Luther King Jr,” wrote Talib Kweli.

So many folks are trying to excuse Kanye wearing a white lives matter t-shirt as just a troll move or marketing. Maybe it is. But it’s a dangerously dumb message to send for someone with his massive platform. I been off dude. But y’all go ahead labeling his foolishness as genius.

Seeing Ye and Candace both in that shirt hurts my soul. Whatever nuance there was as part of his fashion show pales in comparison to seeing someone who is so politically destructive and reprehensible standing there with Ye, emblazoned with that phrase.
