Coachella 2022 announces lineup feat. Kanye West, Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.
It was recently reported that Billie Eilish and Kanye West are the top choices for Coachella 2022 festival, after the removal of Travis Scott over the deadly Astroworld Tragedy. Now Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has officially announced the lineup for this year’s event, which will be headlined by Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Ye and Swedish House Mafia.
Kanye West, who now goes by the name Ye, previously headlined the Coachella event way back in 2011, while Billie Eilish performed at the 2019 festival. The Coachella 2022 fest will take place on April 15-17 and April 22-24, and likely to see over 1,00,000 people per day at Empire Polo Ground in Indio, California.
The star-studded festival will have performances from Lil Baby, Big Sean, Baby Keem, Snoh Aalegra, City Girls, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Giveon, Isaiah Rashad, Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, Doja Cat, Run the Jewels, Ari Lennox, JID, Jessie Reyez, Vince Staples and more.
The announcement comes almost two years after the 2020 edition — which was set to include Rage Against the Machine, Travis Scott, and Frank Ocean as headliners – was repeatedly postponed due to the epidemic. Scott and Rage Against the Machine will no longer headline Coachella in 2022, according to Billboard. Following the terrible murder of ten people at his Astroworld festival in Houston on Nov. 5, Scott was withdrawn from the roster. Ocean would instead headline the event in 2023, it was announced in August.
