Kanye West says he will run for US President.
Back in the 2015 MTV Awards, Kanye West said that he wanted to run for President in 2020, and in 2018 he also talked about running for the presidency in 2024. “I’m going to try. Yes, it 100% could happen, 2024,” said Kanye.
Now he made a huge announcement that he is running for president this year with the hashtag #2020VISION. We don’t know if he’s serious or it’s some sort of album gimmick but a lot of people already endorsing it including the CEO of Tesla & SpaceX, Elon Musk, who said “You have my full support.”
However, it is uncertain whether West is indeed running. He does not appear to have registered to vote in the November election with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The closest match in the FEC record is a candidate named “Kanye Deez Nutz West,” who filed with the Green Party in 2015 using the address “1977 Golddigger Avenue, Suite Yeezus” and appears to have raised no funds.
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION
