Joey Badass’ new album “2000” release is delayed due sample clearance issue.
Joey Bada$$ is back with a new album called “2000,” which is a follow-up to his 2017 album “All-Amerikkkan Bada$$” and a sequel to his critically acclaimed debut mixtape 1999 from 2012. The record was intended to be released, but it has now been postponed.
Drake has dropped his follow-up to last year’s Certified Lover Boy as a surprise “Honestly, Nevermind.” Drake, longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s manager Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre, and 2022 Grammy winner Black Coffee executive produced the new album, which has 14 tracks. 21 Savage is the only credited featured artist on the album, and he appears on the concluding track “Jimmy Cooks.”
Now Joey Badass took a dig at Drake’s surprise release and said he didn’t postpone his album because of him.
Y’all thinking I pushed my album back because drake is comedy. Can’t say I ain’t happy tho hahaha

Due to sample clearance concerns, the Brooklyn rapper turned to social media to announce that the project will not be published tonight. “Man I got some terrible news, my album won’t be coming out tonight due to sample clearance issues. Right now, it’s unclear how long I’ll have to postpone it but my hope is no more than 2 weeks. I wanted to have a new date before I told you guys but it’s out of my control,” he wrote
