Joey Badass namedrop Kendrick Lamar in new Rey Vaughn diss track.
Joey Badass recently returned to music with a “Red Bull Spiral Freestyle” with Ab-Soul and Big Sean, where he took shots at TDE’s Ray Vaughn along with Daylyt. After the freestyle, Ray Vaughn dropped a diss track titled “Hoe Era”, followed by a response from Badass titled “The Finals.”
On the song, he also namedropped Kendrick Lamar, and challenged him to a rap battle. “I salute you Kenny but I know you well aware / You lookin’ for some competition? Then just know that I’ll be right here,” he raps.
Elsewhere on the song, he rapped for Ray: “The way you let Dot d–k sit in your mouth / This that same d–k linkin’ I was talkin’ about / You ni–as would do anything for the clout / Crash out over ni–as who won’t even let you in they house / I bet you ain’t even got his number / It’s funny how the thirst is bein’ disguised as hunger.”
Following the release of the song, TDE Punch wrote on X: “Slow down kid… lol.”

Joey previously targeted the West Coast with “The Ruler’s Back” in January. “Too much West Coast d–k li-kin’ / I’m hearing ni–as throwin’ rocks, really ain’t sh-t stickin’ / ‘Cause if we’re talking bar for bar, really it’s slim pickings / I rap like I draw pentagrams and kill chickens, ni–a / F–k around with your soul like Ether, quick for a feature / This that black Air Force energy comin’ out your speaker.”
