Joey Badass praise 2025 as the best year for rap this decade.
The last couple of years have been good for hip-hop, especially due to the rap beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, along with many great projects. Joey Badass thinks that 2025 is the best year for rap as far as this decade, with still few months left.
The NYC emcee made an appearance on Brian B.Dot’s podcast Cover Lines, where he talked about the rap in 2025. “I would say 2025 is one of the greatest years we had in rap. I would even say 2025 is the best year in this decade for the rap,” said Badass. “Wow…. that’s a hell of a statement,” responds Brian.
“We got two Westside Gunn joints. We got JID, we got Clipse doing the reunion joint, Larry June & 2 Chainz, Chance the Rapper… Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist…” he said, while praising projects from these artists.

Joey Badass himself dropped his fourth studio album “Lonely At The Top” recently, after a recent battle against the West Coast artists in May. However, the album failed to make a mark on the charts, as it didn’t chart on Billboard 200 this week, with only moving 9k album units in the first week. It is his first album to not enter the charts.
