Joe Budden shares his thought on a battle between 2Pac, Nas and Biggie.
What would’ve happened if a Verzuz happened between 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G.? Joe Budden argues in the latest episode of his podcast. During the conversation with the co-hosts Ish, Ice and Parks of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden states that Makaveli would’ve destroyed both Nas and Biggie in a hypothetical hit for hit catalog battle.
“I don’t want to answer; they gonna say I’m hating on Nas,” he said before making the strong claim. “Alright, now that y’all have progressed the conversation, I’ma say this and I’ma put my shoes on while I say it. ‘Cause y’all are right: I think ‘Pac would end Nas in a Verzuz. [‘Pac] would end Big in a Verzuz, bad.”
“‘Pac had some diverse albums, y’all,” responds Ish. “He gave you some sh*t for the girls, some sh*t for the ni**as, some sh*t for the street ni**as, some sh*t for some conscious ni**as.” “He might even get [Nas] with Greatest Hits disc one,” said Ice.
Budden continued, “Big died too soon to play with ‘Pac. Ready to Die and Life After Death is not enough to [beat ‘Pac]. And ‘Pac got them same four albums I’m talking about? I just don’t know. I won’t disrespect Big like that — rest in peace to ‘Pac and Big – but the more I think about it.”
JAY-name Z’s was also mentioned in the conversation. However, Hov would have sufficient firepower to defeat ‘Pac in a Verzuz battle, despite the fact that it would be a close match, according to Budden and Ish. Hov had too many traits and lengthy life, according to Budden.
Ice went on to put classics like “Juicy,” “Big Poppa,” and “Hypnotize” in his subsequent envisioned lineup for Biggie’s Verzuz album. The discussion abruptly came to an end, however, when Ish asserted that Biggie’s “Sky’s the Limit” would lose to 2Pac and Jon B’s “Are U Still Down?” This caused Ice to leave the studio in anger.
