JID reveals when he sent the “Fuel” verse for Eminem collab.
Eminem and JID collaborated on the song titled “Fuel” last year, and the Detroit rapper reportedly kept JID’s verse in the vault for three years. According to JID, he sent his verse to Em in 2021 and was featured on “The Death of Slim Shady” last year.
In a response to a fan on X, which is now deleted, the Dreamville rapper wrote: “Years before it dropped, whatever year Kellen Mond got drafted.”
The former Texas A&M quarterback Kellen Mond was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021, and is also reference by the rapper on the song. “All of my ni–as gon’ ride with it / In the pocket, the rocket like Kellen Mond,” he raps.
The “Fuel” collab between the two emcees was one of the fan favorites on TDOSS album. The Detroit rapper recently won the Favorite Hip Hop Artist and Favourite Hip Hop Album at the American Music Awards 2025.
