JAY-Z honours LeBron James before NBA All-Star Game.
The 2023 NBA All-Star Opener Game took place earlier tonight between Team LeBron and Team Giannis, and before the match, JAY-Z honoured the NBA top scorer LeBron James. The video message was played at the 19th All-Star game of James’ career, which happened in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“Being able to perform at a high level for a long period of time, that’s excellence,” Jay-Z began. “Long after you’re gone, people may look at your name and like, ‘That’s what greatness is. There’s not many you can compare LeBron to a 19-time All-Star, a remarkable feat.”
“The all-time leading scorer, all-time. I mean, what can you say? He’s been through many iterations of the game and in each era, he’s been the best. ‘The Chosen One’ and that’s it,” he added.
After honouring LeBron James, Hov shared some words for the league. The players, they’re super excited to play with one another,” he said. “The league is in a great place right now. Every team has major stars, amazing, amazing performers.”

Just recently, LeBron James made history on the basketball court as he become NBA’s all-time leading scorer after breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s decades-old record. James scored 38 points during Los Angeles Lakers’ 133-130 home loss against Oklahoma City Thunder, which took his all-time point tally to 38,390.
During the Los Angeles Lakers’ game against the Oklahoma City Thunder at Crypto.com Arena on February 7th, LeBron James broke the NBA record with a 2-point shot in the last few seconds of the third quarter. Following the game, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the previous record holder, handed over the torch to James. “To be able to be in the presence of such a legend and great as Kareem, it’s very humbling,” James said of Abdul-Jabbar. “Please give a standing ovation to the Captain, please.”
