J. Cole pulls up to an up-and-coming artists’ listening session.
J. Cole continues to show his humble nature as the Dreamville boss pulled up to an aspiring rapper’s listening session in Queens, New York. The aspiring artist named Ty Trilly posted a clip of the session on his social media. “Cole pulled up on me To hear my new sh*t , No Meetings in the city straight Raw block sh*t, appreciate You @realcoleworld , It’s up From Here !!,” he wrote.
“I ain’t even put a second verse on it yet,” Trilly says at one point, to which Cole responds: “You don’t even need it, ni**a. Shoot the sh*t, put that bi**h out, next! ‘Cause they gon’ feel it. And they gon’ feel the next one, I swear to God.”
“I know what you mean like, ‘Man, I probably need a second verse.’ No, ni**a. Just that… Shoot the video, put that bi**h out, it’s gon’ land on the people it’s supposed to land on.”
Ty Trilly took to his Instagram Stories to share another video where J. Cole can be seen talking to him animatedly. The caption read, “Soaking up some game!” Following Cole’s advice, the rapper from Queens went ahead and dropped the track “Adapt” on SoundCloud.
