ICE-T Reflect On Bringing Eminem To Stage In 1999 That's Real Hip-Hop

Ice-T shares a clip of him bringing Eminem to the stage early in his career.

Ice-T recently showed love to Eminem as he shared a moment from 1999, when he brought out a young Eminem to stage during his Warped Tour in Chicago.

When a fan shared the video on X, Ice-T resposted it and wrote: Back when EM was first starting out.. I bigged him up to the crowd.. They had no idea who he’d later become.. That’s REAL HipHop. Show love to the new upcoming artists.. @Eminem (Crown Emojis).”

Last year, Ice shared an interview clip where he talked about performing with Eminem. The Detroit rapper then responded with “Ice thanks for those memories legend!! Seems like just yesterday!! Love you bro!!”

“Back at you…. You definitely did your thing homie… And haven’t stopped! RESPECT,” responded Ice.

In the video, Ice-T says: “I was a fan of Eminem before Dre signed him, somebody brought me the tape. They said, yo, gotta hear this. And so I heard, and it was him talking about putting this girl in a trunk and driving off the bridge. We went on the warped tour, and I remember we were out on that tour, and anybody was there. The white kids used to throw sh-t at Eminem. They were really rude to Eminem early in the game. The white kids didn’t feel like they could throw sh-t at me because it would be racist. But when he got up, know, that’s when wigger and all that sh-t was out. They was going in on him hard. He just kept knocking it out, and he kept doing it. And I’m like, this kid’s going to blow up because he was paying his dues. I never forget. I was talking to Em, and I said, well, what do you want out of this? He said, ‘I just want to be around like you and Dre.’ That’s all he wanted was longevity. Well, he f–king did that.”
