Ice-T thinks being a rapper is more dangerous than being a drug dealer.
Earlier this week, rapper Young Dolph was shot and killed at the age of 36 in his hometown Memphis, Tennessee. The tributes are pouring in from the rap community, with artists like LL Cool J, Lil Yachty, Snoop Dogg, Megan Thee Stallion paying their respect for the deceased rapper. Young Dolph’s longtime partner Mia Jaye also broke the silence on his death and thanked everyone for the support. “Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, calls, messages,” she wrote.
Now in the wake of Young Dolph’s death, Ice-T gives his take on the tragedy and said that being a rapper is the most dangerous job. “ICE COLD Fact: When I was coming up being a Drug Dealer was the most dangerous occupation. Now it seems like being a Rapper is. Smh. No cap,” he said in a now-deleted tweet, as reported by balleralert.
After deleting the tweet, he wrote, “ICE COLD Fact: If you look at a persons post or pic with the only intention of picking it apart and talking sh*t. You obviously don’t like the person. Simply Unfollow.”
Ice-T also shared a viral clip of Boosie Badazz, in which he says that rappers die in their own cities. “It’s a fact,” Boosie said in the clip. “You have haters who was in school with you and they made because they was in that third-grade class with you but they don’t have the same hustle as you. They hate you for no reason. They hate you for your success. If you was a local rapper and you didn’t have much, they would love you.”
“No Lies Detected… An Unfortunate Fact. RIP Dolph,” states Ice-T.

Dolph was tragically murdered by two suspects while purchasing cookies at a neighbourhood bakery in Memphis, Tennessee, on Wednesday (Nov. 17), just hours before he was due to conduct a turkey handout for the community. On the day of his death, Young Dolph’s annual turkey giveaway was set.
So yet, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, but police have published photographs of two gunmen wearing grey sweatpants, dark hoodies, and white face masks. One of the men looked to be clutching a Draco AK-47, while the other appeared to be equipped with a handgun, according to TMZ. The two males drove away in a light-coloured Mercedes.
