Takeoff was shot and killed at 28 in Houston.
The internet hit with the tragic news of Takeoff’s death as the rapper was shot and killed in Houston. According to TMZ, the whole thing took place after 2:30 AM, when the cops received a call of the incident that happened at a bowling alley called 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. It is reported that the two were playing dice when a fight broke out and someone opened fire and hit Takeoff.
The fans and hip-hop fraternity are mourning the death of the 28 year old Migos rapper, who recently dropped his new joint album “Only Built For Infinity Links” album with Quavo.
“I was in college when Biggie and ‘Pac were killed and thought there was no way we’d ever experience anything remotely close to that again. Now it’s happening so frequently that you barely have time to recover before someone else killed,” wrote writer Jemele Hill. “Rip Takeoff… this sh*t has to STOP… sending love to friends and family,” wrote Ja Rule. “No hot takes. No profound thoughts. Just sad that another rapper, son, brother, and friend has been killed. God be with all those who feel the loss,” wrote Lecrae. “Rest In Peace Takeoff my condolences to his family and close friends, very dope artist gone too soon,” wrote Lloyd Banks.
Following a three-year hiatus, Migos returned to the charts last year with Culture III, the third album in their Culture series.
Some of the greatest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Juice WRLD, Drake, Cardi B, Future, and late artist Pop Smoke, are featured on the 19-track album.
