Eminem, Royce Da 5’9″ to feature on new Grip album “IDFT?”.
A couple of days ago, Shady Records newest signee announced his first album from the label which is titled “IDFT?“. The East Atlanta artist also revealed that the project will drop this month on the 27th. It will be his second Shady release, following the release of his “Gutter” single with WARA. Now he decided to share the official tracklist, and as expected, it features an Eminem. Not only the Shady Records boss, but the album will also have an appearance from Eminem’s Bad Meets Evil partner Royce Da 5’9″.
“Appreciate everyone that had a hand in this sh*t!” wrote Grip. The album will also feature artists like Wiley From Atlanta, Wara, Dead Cassettes, Big Rube, Ahyes, and more. Eminem and Shady Records signed Grip to their label last month. They shared the news through a picture of him sitting with the label boss Marshall in the studio.
GRIP’s contract was revealed in July, but according to the Atlanta emcee, it has been in the works for over a year. “This was like f**king last year, we got approached by Paul Rosenberg,” he told Twenty Infinity in July. “He had heard the music through the homie Mike and was just like, ‘Yo.’ Played it for Em and Em was just like, ‘Yo, who the f**k is this? Let’s see what’s up.’ I talked to him a few times and sh*t. You know all the legal sh*t, that takes a long time. It was hard to keep the cat in the bag. I don’t even think I told family members and shit like that. We all knew but it was just like, ‘I’m finna do this,’ then if sh*t falls through it’s like, ‘Damn ni**a, I thought you was gonna do that.’”
