All the winners at GRAMMY Awards 2019.
The nominations for this year’s Grammys are finally here. Kendrick Lamar has the most nominations (eight), thanks to the Black Panther Soundtrack. Cardi B & Drake also managed to get a few nominations this year. The Best Rap album category consists of albums from Cardi B, Mac Miller, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, and Travis Scott. This year’s ceremony will take place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on Sunday, February 10 at 8 pm on CBS.
Alicia Keys, a singer-songwriter, served as the event’s host. During her opening speech, Keys invited Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, and Michelle Obama, the former First Lady of the United States, to speak on the influence music has had on their lives.
With eight nominations, Kendrick Lamar earned the most. With four victories apiece, Childish Gambino and Kacey Musgraves matched for most of the night. Childish Gambino did not attend the Grammys, making him the first big prize winner to miss the show since Amy Winehouse in 2008. On behalf of Childish Gambino, “This Is America” producer Ludwig Göransson and recording engineer Riley Mackin collected the Record of the Year Grammy.
The ceremony honored the year’s top records, songs, and artists, which spanned from October 1, 2017, through September 30, 2018.
