French Montana reveals why Drake collab pulled off from “They Got Amnesia” album.
When French Montana unveiled the tracklist for his latest album “They Got Amnesia“, one of the big names on the guest appearances was Drake. Unfortunately, the Collaboration was taken off from the album for unknown reasons. Some people claimed that Drake verse featured lyrics about Kim Kardashian, so it was removed from the project after his beef squashed with Kanye West.
“Splash Brothers” featuring Drake was mentioned as the fourth track when French outlined what to anticipate earlier this month. Fans noticed the song was missing from the project’s Apple Music pre-order page on Wednesday. Instead, a song called “Fraud” is included in its place, despite the fact that it was not on the original tracklist.
Now French Montana made a visit to N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s “Drink Champs” show where he revealed the real reason behind Drake’s absence from the project. Montana said that the collaboration wasn’t completely done, and during that time the ASTROWORLD Tragedy happened when around 9 people died at Travis Scott’s show where Drizzy was also one of the guest performers.
“The record wasn’t fully done yet,” Montana said. “We still had to change a couple of things in the record, and he was telling me to push the album back so I can have the record. But I had the album done, it was like 20 other tracks on there. So I was just like ‘Imma drop the album’.”
“He [Drake] was going to make the change and that thing just happened,” Montana continued. “So, the guy’s not in the right state of mind, like nine people died and a nine-year-old, God bless man, send love to all they families. I don’t expect him to get in the studio and fix the record, like that would be selfish of me.”
