Fans react after Freddie Gibbs compares Jeezy to Tupac.
Freddie Gibbs often indulge in conversation with his opinions, and online spats with other artists, as well as podcaster like DJ Akademiks. The rapper once again made people talk with his comparison of Jeezy and the legendary 2Pac. “Jeezy like 2pac to me,” he wrote, without any context or further explanation.
“Jeezy is great but to compare him like Pac,” a fan wrote. “It’s a real debate,” responds Gibbs.” You outta touch with reality fam. Jeezy’s music don’t come close to evoking the same emotions as Pac’s music. Stop playing. Pac is an intercontinental legend. Jeezy is a hoodstar at best. No knock on Jeezy, but you volunteered my brother for this. Cool it Freddie,” wrote another. “This is weird, you have been dissing him for a decade now lol,” a confused fan said.
The former label mates have been dissing each other for years now, ever since the two part ways from CTE World label in 2012.
Jeezy and Gibbs had a longstanding and controversial relationship that began when the rapper from Gary, Indiana, joined Jeezy’s CTE World label in 2012. The next year, Gibbs ended his relationship with the label. Later, it would be revealed that the breakup was not entirely amicable. Later, Gibbs would blast Jeezy often, most notably on the song “R.E.A.L.” from 2014.

Your opinion is subjective though, so I understand. To me Tribe Called Quest and Mobb Deep is mediocre. But for some reason n**gas act like they gods. I ain’t head no more than two or three hot songs from either. That’s just me though.
