Benny the Butcher and Freddie Gibbs’ beef erupts.
Benny the Butcher is currently on the promo run for his latest album “Tana Talk 4“, and the Griselda rapper was asked about working with Freddie Gibbs on Brian “B. Dot” Miller’s “Most Necessary: Live” Podcast on Spotify. “[Working with Freddie Gibbs] Came and went to be honest with you. It’s all love,” responds the Butcher.
Freddie Gibbs reacts to the statement on Twitter with “came and went lol” comment. The rapper then addressed Benny’s comments on an IG live, where he advised other artists to keep his name out of their mouth. “Just keep my name out y’all mouth… just say next question, man,” he said.

Now, Benny, the Butcher made a claim that Gibbs “begged” him to do a collab album. “How can u hate on a ni**a u begged to do an album with…TT4 OUT NOW,” he tweeted.

The “Alfredo” rapper now took to his Instagram stories where he had some words for the Buffalo native. “Ni**az whole marketing plan for they album is to beef with Freddie Gibbs. That’s cute,” he wrote. “If you opened up for me before just be grateful.” “Why would I beg a ni**a to work with em when he do less than me?,” he asked on another story.
Freddie and Benny had previously collaborated on the tracks “Frank Lucas” off Freddie Gibbs’ 2020 Alfredo album and “One Way Flight” from Benny’s 2020 Burden of Proof project. Gibbs also regularly worked with Griselda members Conway The Machine and Westside Gunn on projects. However, trouble began to surface in June 2020 when Westside appeared to take issue with Gibbs’ management, who questioned when the last time a rapper dropped back-to-back albums as good as Gibbs’ Alfredo and Bandana.
