Forbes reveals the Highest-Paid Hip-Hop Acts 2019.
After releasing the list of Richest Rappers of 2019 a few months ago, Forbes is back with another new list, this time for 2019 Highest Hip-Hop Acts. Kanye West, who was 10th on the list last year with $27.5 million, topped this year with over $150 million.
Forbes estimates suggest that Kanye’s footwear and apparel company Yeezy is expected top $1.5 billion in sales this year, boosting Kanye’s pretax income to $150 million in the past year. The second on the list is Jay-Z with $81 million, Drake on number 3 with $75 million, Diddy on fourth with $70 million and Travis Scott on fifth with $58 million. Drake’s fifth studio album ‘Scorpion,’ which was also the top-selling music album based on total streams that year, was one of the top-selling digital music albums in the United States in 2018. Despite Drake’s fame in North America, the artist trailed Ed Sheeran, Pink, and Taylor Swift on a ranking of the most lucrative music tours of 2018.
