Fat Joe makes sure that his family know he’s Jay-Z or Diddy.
We often see kids of rich celebrities enjoying a wealthy life and flaunting their lifestyles on social media. But Fat Joe makes sure his family stay humble and don’t get inspired by the rich lifestyles on the internet. Fat Joe was the recent guest on the “I Am Athlete” Podcast where he talked about his son showing him pictures of other artists’ kids.
“You should never lie to yourself. Don’t even lie to your family. I tell my wife, I tell my kids, we are not Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs or Shawn Carter, Jay-Z,” said Joe. “One day my son, he was like, nineteen, he was like, ‘Yo dad, look at this.’ I look at it, he got Dr. Dre son on a private plane, you got Jay-Z. He was like, ‘This is how the sons are moving now.'”
“I was like, ‘You ain’t f*ckin’ movin'” Joe continues. “We ain’t got that sh*t. So, stop lookin’ at them motherf**kas and stay the course. Stay in your lane, because a lotta… it can be women, too… but a lotta men lose themselves… not trying to keep it real with themselves.”
Fat Joe also discussed Kanye West’s talent and how much of a fan he is of the Chicago rap icon during a recent visit to the I Am Athlete podcast. Joe claims that he genuinely bikes for Kanye. “Kanye is my favorite rapper in the world, and I love him to death,” Fat Joe said. “He’s my favorite rapper, he’s been my favorite rapper. And I won’t turn my back on him, no matter what he do.”
