Eminem’s spokesperson criticizes song leaks.
A series of unreleased Eminem music leaked in the past few days, which included songs with the likes of Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Slaughterhouse, Nate Dogg, Anderson .Paak and more. The dozen of songs are from the past 20 years.
Now in a statement to XXL, the Detroit rapper’s longtime spokesperson Dennis Dennehy slams the music leaks: “These leaked songs were studio efforts never meant for public consumption… demos, experiments and ideas that are dated and not relevant so many years later.” “[They’re] the latest in a line of unfinished material released against artists’ will and without their permission.”
Just the other day, Eminem’s collaborator and Aftermath producer Fredwrek also posted a tweet on X. “FYI to the criminal who’s leaking Eminem’s music. We will find you. Street law will be applied. Ask ‘Koolo’ what happened to him last time he leaked. We know where he lives and yes this is a threat,” he wrote.
The leaked material also had an unreleased Suge Knight and Ja Rule diss track titled “Smack You” which was recorded during 50 Cent’s beef with Ja Rule in the early 2000s. “I’m holding Suge responsible for the deaths of the two greatest rappers to ever grace the face of this planet,” he rapped, blaming Suge Knight for the deaths of 2Pac and The Notorious BIG.
“If only the late, great Mr. Christopher Wallace could talk / He could tell you himself / I’m holding Suge responsible for the death of Ja Rule or anyone else down with Tha Row,” he adds.
