Eminem’s ‘Rap God’ hits 1 Billion views on Youtube.
A couple of days ago, Eminem started the countdown to 1 Billion Views on Youtube for his track called ‘Rap God‘ which appeared on his ‘MMLP2‘ in 2013. Now the song has crossed the 1 Billion mark and becomes Eminem’s third Youtube video to reach that Mark after ‘Love The Way You Lie‘ (1.9B) with Rihanna and ‘Not Afraid‘ (1.3B), Both the tracks appeared on his ‘Recovery‘ Album.
The DVLP-produced song was nominated for a Grammy Award for best rap performance in 2014, but lost to Kendrick Lamar’s “i.” It’s also in the Guinness Book of World Records because “Rap God” contains Eminem rapping a total of 1,560 words in the six-minute song, which is the most of any major single. The song reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Eminem is also dominated this year’s daily Spotify streams list, thanks to his new album ‘Music To Be Murdered By‘.
Is “Rap God” the fastest rap ever? “Rap God” was released seven years ago, and it holds the record for the ‘fastest rap in a number one song,’ clocking in at 97 words in 15 seconds, or 6.46 words per second. In “Godzilla,” he broke the record with 225 words in 30 seconds or 7.5 words per second.
