Eminem earns another new milestone with “Lose Yourself”.
Eminem‘s iconic Grammy-winning single ‘Lose Yourself‘ has become the Detroit Rapper’s first track to reach 1 Billion plays on Spotify. The track has also won the Academy Award for the Best original song, featuring in the movie ‘8 Mile‘ which stars Eminem. It’s only the second track of the pre-streaming era, after Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody“, to reach that 1 Billion milestone.
The Marshall Mathers LP, released in 2000, is another album that has already reached this milestone, selling close to 12 million copies in the United States. The Eminem Show debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 upon its release and remained there for six weeks in a row. It sold nearly 1.3 million copies in its second week in the United States, where it was available for a full week.
