Eminem’s daughter Alaina Scott is getting married.
Alaina Scott, 28, one of Eminem’s adopted daughters, has announced her engagement with the longtime boyfriend Matt Moeller. Alaina Marie Scott took to Instagram to share pictures of her boyfriend proposing to her on the rooftop of The Monarch Club in Detroit. “this moment. this life [Heart Emoji] yes a hundred times over. I LOVE YOU,” she wrote. “still on cloud 9 [Heart Emoji] thank you for all the well wishes, we are feeling so loved,” she wrote on another.
The two had been in a relationship for over 7 years, which she celebrated back in July. “While my love for you has somehow grown over these last 7 years, one thing has remained the same – you are my favorite person. You are my best friend, the best fur dad, and the best partner. Thank you for loving me as effortlessly as you do. Happy anniversary, ILY,” she wrote.
Eminem adopted Alaina in the mid-2000s, and biologically she is Detroit Rapper’s niece. Alaina is the biological daughter of Dawn Scott, the sister of Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Mathers. Dawn Scott reportedly died in 2016 due to a drug overdose.
“I have full custody of my niece and joint custody of Hailie,” Eminem once said in an interview. “I was always there for Hailie, and my niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.”
Other than Alaina, Eminem has a biological daughter Hailie Scott, 25, with his ex-wife Kim Scott. In 2005, Eminem also adopted Whitney, who recently came out as non-binary and changed her name to Stevie. She is the biological daughter of Kim Scott and her ex Eric Hartter, who reportedly died in 2019.
In the Encore track “Mockingbird,” Eminem spoke about his love with Alaina, which peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs list.: “Lainie, uncle’s crazy ain’t he?/ Yeah, but he loves you girl and you better know it/ We’re all we got in this world.”
