In the study, they investigated the average price of an album download, average cost of their official merchandise products, typical price of a live gig ticket, cost of an authentically signed item, and Where possible, the price for a 12” vinyl album.

Whilst their album prices are comparable with the other artists’ in the study, their gig ticket prices are considerably higher (roughly around £100/$140). The price of these musicians’ signed merchandise puts them at the top. The Signed items from these rappers are hard to come by and dedicated fans will need to save up to £1,000 ($1,400) to guarantee a piece of autographed merchandise. A signed copy of Eminem’s Encore album is listed on eBay at £1,999/$2760, whilst a signed Travis Scott Birds in the Trap CD is going for £1,444/$1,995.
The cheapest artists for the fans are Flo Rida, Chainsmokers, and Pitbull, with a superfan starter package of $159.49, $175.24, and $181.78 respectively. Flo Rida, Chainsmokers, Pitbull, Doja Cat, and Lorde have all maintained their superfan starting packs for around $210, making them the most affordable.
