Eminem wins “Best Hip-Hop” at MTV EMAs 2024.
The 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards took place on Sunday at Manchester in England. This year, Eminem was also among nominations as he won the category of Hip-Hop.
The Detroit rapper beats Central Cee, Kendrick Lamar, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and Travis Scott for the honor. This is a record achievement for Eminem, as he becomes the first artist in MTV EMA history to win “Best Hip-Hop” ten times.
While the rapper didn’t attend the event, he did share a thank you message through a video. “EMAs, What up you bloody wan-ers. Thank you for this award,” he says in the British accent. “I appreciate y’all man, thank you so much. Sorry I couldn’t be there right now as you can see I’m in the process of work,” he jokes while playing games at his place. “Thank you to everybody who helped me with the song [Houdini], with the video, Steve Miller, Rich Lee, and thank you to y’all. You guys are incredible and I’ll see you soon.”
The rapper received the award for his single “Houdini” which debuted at number 2 on Billboard Hot 100, and number 1 on Billboard Global 200. It was the lead single off his twelfth studio album “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce).”
