Eminem returns with more Annotations on Genius including Shady XV, Berzerk, The Monster, Phenomenal and more.
After annotating the lyrics of Kings Never Die and Cleanin’ Out My Closet earlier this year, Eminem is back more Genius annotations of his recent tracks in past years. Talking about the lyrics of tracks like Phenomenal, Berzerk, Shady XV, The Monster, and more, Marshall reveals so many interesting stuff including that he is one of 3.3 million people in the US who are suffering from OCD, which is short of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
In one of the lines of the track titled “The Monster” which is off his 2013 album The MMLP2, Shady raps that, “Cause the very thing that I love’s Killing me / And I cant’s conquer it / My OCD is conking me in the head.” In a new official annotation, Eminem has revealed that he wasn’t joking, “I really do have O.C.D. it’s not funny bitch.” Eminem says. Eminem has revealed a lot more stuff which you can see below and also on Genius, including his all previous annotations.
Eminem has seen an economic possibility in lyric and annotation service Genius and has formed a partnership with the company that will include collaboration on Eminem.com as well as work with the label Shady Records.
“Search Genius for the lyrics to any song and click highlighted lines to learn more about them. (Our community has annotated all of Kanye and Kendrick, but also Hamlet, TV, and movie scripts, Kurt Cobain’s suicide note, and even the Chipotle menu…),” adding “add context, commentary, gifs, or whatever you think will help other people understand them better.” Eminem Said.
