Eminem’s Revival, his upcoming album and first in four years, has unleashed its largest guns yet with the release of a new song, “Walk on Water,” which features Queen Beyonce herself. With the release of their massive duet “Walk on Water,” Eminem and Beyonce interrupted Taylor Swift’s Reputation party on Friday (Nov. 10). The song, which was produced by Rick Rubin, is the first single off Eminem’s upcoming album Revival. Rather than slashing his way through the tune with his boisterous, animalistic delivery, Em goes into an introspective mode on it, addressing his fears about stardom and his current position in hip-hop.
Em openly discusses why, despite his slew of awards, he still manages to freeze up every time he enters the studio, with Beyonce anchoring the chorus with an inspirational hook about superstars being only mortals.
In the Interview session, Eminem talks about his collaboration with Beyoncé by saying, “everything she does is so perfect.” First of all, Beyoncé is amazing, and (collaborating) has been on my wishlist for a long time,” Eminem said. “But I’ve never really had a song that I felt like would be right to present to her, so I was kind of waiting. And then me and Paul kicked the idea around after I finished it, and based off what it was about, I felt like she probably could relate to this, too. Just because Beyoncé is always, everything she does is so perfect, but the pressures behind that, for her to do it so perfect, I felt like she could probably relate to that. I told her, ‘I’ve never seen you make a mistake before, ever.’ Performance-wise, everything, every song she puts out, every album, it’s so calculated and precise and everything’s always so perfect.”
He also talks about how Hip-Hop music growing. DJ Whoo kid Also talks about Em’s latest Album Revival which is slated to drop in a couple of hours.
