Music to Be Murdered By was released unexpectedly in January and made an enormous impression, selling 279,000 album-equivalent copies in its first week. Eminem became the first artist to have 10 consecutive albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and one of just six musicians in the United States to have ten No. 1 albums.

This returned the album to the third slot on the Billboard 200 album chart, a 196-point climb from the previous week, shattering Bob Dylan’s 50-year-old Billboard 200 record.
